People treat boundaries like bad news. They’re the opposite. Knowing where someone’s lines are is what lets you relax, play and push the right things.
Name them in three tiers: open, let’s talk, and firm. Firm doesn’t need a reason. Let’s-talk is an invitation. Open is permission to be creative.
Revisit them. Boundaries move as trust grows, and noticing that out loud is one of the most intimate conversations two people can have.
